Athens, GREECE, 1 October – Mega Brokers announces the acquisition of Deal Insurance, one of the largest insurance agencies in Crete, with a network of more than 50 partners and a significant presence in the local insurance market.
Deal Insurance has grown through strong relationships of trust, deep knowledge of the local market and continuous investment in its partner network. Its shareholders — Ioannis Thalassinakis, Iakovos Drygianakis, Charis Γιαλιτάκης and Vaso Chatzidaki — have built a business with strong roots in Crete and significant potential for further growth.
The transaction represents another important step in Mega Brokers’ strategy to build a stronger, more modern and more comprehensive insurance distribution platform in the Greek market.
Anastasios Chatzitheodosiou, CEO of Mega Brokers, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Deal Insurance to the Mega Brokers family. It is an outstanding team with a strong partner network, deep roots in Crete and an entrepreneurial culture that is highly aligned with our own.
Our objective is to build partnerships that create more opportunities for everyone involved. We want to give successful entrepreneurial teams access to more tools, broader insurance markets, technology, new solutions and the strength of a larger platform.
I believe the future of insurance distribution will be built through strong partnerships, combining entrepreneurship and personal relationships with scale, technology and specialist expertise. This is the direction in which we continue to invest.”
The shareholders of Deal Insurance commented:
“Deal Insurance has always been built around its people, its partners and the relationships of trust we have developed across Crete over many years.
In Mega Brokers, we found an organisation that shares this philosophy while also providing us with new growth opportunities, additional capabilities and even stronger support for our partners and clients.
We see this partnership as the beginning of a new and very exciting chapter.”
The partnership creates significant synergies across products, insurance markets, technology, training and partner support, while materially strengthening Mega Brokers’ presence in Crete.
The transaction forms part of Mega Brokers’ broader growth strategy, combining organic expansion with acquisitions and partnerships with strong entrepreneurial businesses across Greece.
