April 29, 2024 – Across the country Acrisure and our colleagues are making an impact in the communities we call home, and our team in the Southeast is no exception. In support of the courageous journey of Chad Klinck, Acrisure has committed a $25,000 donation to I AM ALS, a charity that not only advances ALS research, but also provides support to those affected by the disease and advocates for broader access to treatment and clinical trials. Chad currently serves as CFO, Poarch Creek Indians Federal Services a client of Acrisure colleague Richard Buckley, who initiated Acrisure’s involvement in this noble cause.
In November 2020, Chad faced a life-altering diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
“I’ve known Chad for nearly a decade,” Buckley said. “When I learned of his diagnosis and his drive to make an impact, I knew I had to do something.”
Despite this challenge, Chad has remained resilient, becoming an active participant in the fight against this devastating disease. With his heart set on making a difference, Chad initiated a fundraising campaign through I AM ALS. Today, Chad has raised nearly $220,000, with his employer pledging to match donations up to $250,000.
“This diagnosis has been daunting,” said Klinck. “I am thankful for organizations like I AM ALS who work to assure no one faces this alone and for partners like Acrisure who care and are willing to help make a difference.”
“I am proud to stand by Chad and of his efforts and the commitment he’s made to ALS research and better access for all who are diagnosed,” said Buckley. “I’m also proud to work at Acrisure and am thankful for their willingness to stand with us.”
