Both appointments will be working alongside the rest of the ARCAS team to expand the range of services the division has to offer, with Ryland focusing on the legacy (re)insurance market and Deane focusing on investment banking.
Ryland has a wealth of experience in managing legacy (re)insurance portfolios, holding many distinguished senior positions at various companies. He joins from Catalina Holdings where he was most recently group head of global distribution, having joined in 2020 as CEO of UK operations and later becoming group chief commercial officer.
Deane brings over 17 years of (re)insurance industry experience mainly in the capital markets and advisory sectors. He joins Acrisure Re from Stonybrook Capital where he was a partner for five years focused on investment banking opportunities in the lower-middle-market insurance sector. Prior to this, he spent seven years at JLT on both the capital markets and advisory teams working on projects such as capital raises and M&A transactions. He also worked at Benfield Advisory (which was later acquired by Aon) as an associate for four years.
