Kelly Reed is the Managing Partner of Acrisure's Great Lakes region. Previously, he served as CEO of VAST, a company he joined after graduating from Northern Michigan University where he was a scholarship athlete (Football - Quarterback) in 2007. Kelly quickly developed a niche within Medical Professional Liability Insurance and has been integral in the development of Acrisure's Healthcare Center of Excellence, which focuses on risk management strategy and commercial and benefits placement for hospitals, health systems, private practice physician groups, senior living communities and Allied Healthcare providers.

Kelly has continued his education earning multiple industry designations, including Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC) and Professional Workers Compensation Advisor (PWCA). He's received frequent recognition by the insurance industry, being named the 2016 Young Agent Award by ProAssurance, the “Young Guns” award from Insurance Business America, a finalist for “Broking Rising Star” by Insurance Insider and most recently a finalist for the 2022 Health Care Power Broker. He is also a Member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Association (PLUS), Member of the Michigan Agent Council for Accident Fund and was the past chair of the Enterprise Agent Council for ProAssurance, which is a top five medical professional liability insurer domestically.

Kevin Mulder joined Acrisure in finance in 2015. Most recently, he was the Business Service Lead for Acrisure's Midwest operations before taking on the role of Head of Finance for the Great Lakes Region. Kevin's career began in public accounting and consulting serving clients ranging from small and middle market to Fortune 500. His financial background as a Certified Public Accountant adds depth of understanding to client needs, expectations, and opportunities.

Jared Lindboe is an insurance & financial services industry veteran with more than 25 years experience. During that time he has worked in multiple functional areas including: sales, training, product, distribution, underwriting, and marketing along with field, agency & corporate operations. He has spent time working with independent agents, captive agents & hybrid agencies across more than 30 states.

For the last two years, Jared has been the Chief Operating Officer at The Huttenlocher Group (an Acrisure Partner) in Waterford, MI. In that role, he manages 10 individual agencies with more than 100 staff. The agencies sell & service personal lines, commercial lines and employee benefits around the Detroit & Flint Metro areas.

Jared completed both his undergraduate degrees & master’s degree at Ashland University in Ashland, OH. Outside of work, he and his wife Laura (along with their golden retrievers, Brutus & Hoosier), enjoy time on the boat, traveling, or tailgating at college football games.

Jeremy is responsible for serving clients in several risk management segments, including strong carrier relationships, building claims advocacies, sourcing risk/loss control/safety resources, and other client focused responsibilities. He has over 30 years of experience placing policies and handling claims in real estate, retail, distribution, manufacturing, and construction industries.

His day-to-day focus includes insurance placement best practices, effective brokerage design and placement, reinsurance development, niche program coverage forms, and working with international partners to ensure clients adhere to compulsory laws.

During his career Jeremy served as Director of Risk Management for a large Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and also has experience as an Assistant Risk Manager for a large private, family-owned commercial property management and construction development operation that included international exposures, professional sports ownership, aviation exposures, equine and farming, estate planning, wrap-ups, and master insurance programs.

Jeremy holds a business degree from The Ohio State University in finance and risk management. Jeremy’s professional accreditations include Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Programs Leader (CPL), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Jeremy is community involved with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), enjoys coaching Track & Field for a local school, and has taught students through various curriculums in the Risk Management industry.

Sarah Kline is the Head of Growth of Acrisure’s Great Lakes region, leading our team of sales professionals in bringing the best of technology enhanced financial solutions that protect our client’s lives and businesses, resulting in growth for clients and our teams.

Previously, Sarah served as Chief Operations Officer of 44North, a company acquired by Acrisure in 2017 that specializes in health and life solutions for employers and individuals. With over 15 years in the insurance industry, she brings field and leadership level experience in sales, marketing and operations.

Sarah, her husband of 25+ years and their daughter call northern Michigan home. Sarah is driven by her faith and has a passion for working with children from preschool to high-school.

Over her 10-year career with Acrisure, Christie White has led sales producers across Commercial and Personal Lines, Individual Life and Health, and Employee Benefits. As Sales Development Lead for the Great Lakes Region, she will partner with Regional leaders across sales and marketing to develop and manage the Total Client sales process. Christie looks forward to creating a strong sales culture and equipping our sales professionals with the tools needed to be trusted advisors for our clients. Residing in Marquette, MI, Christie enjoys everything Lake Superior has to offer and hanging with her best bud, Peanut (her dog).

Dave Herriman comes to the Region from Kemner Iott Benz (an Acrisure Partner for eight years) where he served as Agency Principal. He has worked in the insurance industry on the agency side for 23 years. In his new role, Dave will collaborate with your Great Lakes Region leaders to execute operational initiatives to grow our personal lines book of business and retain our current customer and creating efficiencies through technology and well-defined processes. Dave lives with his family in Adrian, MI, where they are all looking forward to spending time in the UP and by their pool this summer.

Jennifer Meekhof joins the Region from 44North where over the last 23 years she served in multiple capacities, most recently as Director of Operations. Jennifer’s focus as L&H Operations Lead will be to develop operational initiatives within the Great Lakes Region’s EB Team. These initiatives will support growth and retention while optimizing the client experience and maximizing efficiency. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and lives in Cadillac, MI with her husband, Scott, three kids, two kittens and her walking partner, Lucy the dog. Jennifer loves spending time hiking, collecting sea glass and kayaking but she especially loves cheering her kids on in their extracurricular activities.

With a 20+ year career in personal lines insurance, Mike Jager has been with The Larkin Group for more than six years and is a member of the Acrisure Private Risk Advisors Group. In his new role, Mike will focus on building a strong team that provides producers with the support they need to be successful. He'll also be creating our Private Client division and collaborating with Employee Benefits and Commercial Lines to optimize growth in Personal Lines. When he's not working, Mike enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife Erica and their three kids.

Trish started her career with Acrisure in service, sale, and operations in one of our Great Lakes agencies over 15 years ago. Over the last 12 years at the Acrisure corporate office, she has worked extensively on carrier appointments and contracts, licensing, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Her experience on both sides of an Acrisure deal, paired with her comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry and Acrisure way, make her an ideal Leader for our Great Lakes Platform. Trish lives in East Lansing, MI with her husband and two children. Says Trish, “They are all incredible athletes, so I spend my time running to their events, working out, reading, hanging with friends or going to MSU games.”

Jim is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan Business School. After a career in commercial lending, Jim joined The Huttenlocher Group as an Agency Principal to produce and service large complex property & casualty clients. Jim spends the majority of his day interacting with the agency's diverse commercial clientele, specializing in risk consulting and complex coverage placements. He has experience underwriting, placing coverage, and adjusting all types of client loss exposures. Jim also enjoys assisting other insurance consultants in their professional development and sales techniques.

Jim is an Eagle Scout and has served as the President of the Detroit Area Council. He is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling with his wife and family.

Carmen joined Acrisure in 2021 with a deep expertise in insurance industry leadership, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President for Acrisure’s Midwest & Great Lakes Regions. He is a versatile business leader focused on collaborating with Acrisure Agency Partners to inspire profitable growth and operational success while preserving and enhancing Acrisure's unique culture of entrepreneurialism and client-centricity at at levels. In this role, Carmen provides advisory and operational support to all Agency Partners across an expansive geographic footprint throughout the US and Canada.

Prior to joining Acrisure, Carmen served as the Regional Director of Operations for USI where he was responsible for managing USI’s commercial lines, personal risk and small business operations to drive client retention and growth. And prior to that, Carmen spent nearly 13 years with Oswald Companies in Cleveland, OH where he served as the Vice President / Practice Leader for several Property & Casualty focused teams. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University, and continues to serve as Executive in Residence for the Insurance Studies program at Kent State. He is deeply committed to Cleveland community where he remains active with several non-profit organizations including the Cleveland Leadership Center, United Way of Greater Cleveland and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, among others. His involvement in these organizations is dedicated to spreading awareness regarding the importance of philanthropy and encouraging professionals at all levels to become more engaged in non-profit and civic enrichment opportunities in the Greater Cleveland area.

Lisa Slone serves as an Advisory Council Member for the Acrisure Great Lakes Region.

Lisa began her insurance career in 2001 as a receptionist in a small agency while working towards her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University. Lisa joined the May Agency shortly after the agency partnered with Acrisure in 2008. She has made herself available to new opportunities and expertise and worked her way into more responsibilities and leadership roles throughout her career.

With over 22 years in the insurance industry, Lisa has worked in all areas of an agency from entry-level to accounting, management, and operations. Her sales focus is Commercial Insurance and she works with small to large commercial clients. Lisa has participated on several carrier Agent Advisory Boards, as well as an active member of several industry associations including the Big I, and on the Board of Directors with the Big I in Indiana.

When Lisa isn’t working, you’ll find her spending time with her husband of nearly 25 years and their two children.

Rachel Johnson currently leads the operational team at VAST. VAST is in Northern Michigan and has group benefits, individual medical, personal lines and commercial team members. VAST also has a significant professional liability practice.

Rachel has been with Acrisure since VAST joined in 2016. Rachel spent some time on Jeremy Hertz's compliance team before returning to VAST to assume the Chief Operating Officer Role. Her previous experience is on the carrier and provider side, and she has a strong health and business law focus.

As a licensed attorney Rachel has a passion for compliance and assists clients and the team in benefits compliance and works closely with the Acrisure home office legal and other teams whom she got to know well when she was on that side of the house.

Rachel is also passionate about the transformation Acrisure is currently in the midst of and the value and growth it will bring to clients and team members.

Bill Wesley serves as an Advisory Council Member for the Acrisure Great Lakes Region. He previously was the President of The Campbell Group since 2015.

Bill has been in the insurance industry for over 24 years. His previous positions include executive roles with a locally owned agency, Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs, a national broker, and Harleysville/Nationwide Insurance.

Bill started his career as a CPA and currently holds the professional designations of Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Bill has served on several advisory councils and currently is the chairman of the FCCI Midwest advisory council. He is also a board member of the Michigan Catholic Conference.

His hobbies include golf, guitar, and following Michigan State Athletics. His is married to Linda and has two daughters and three grandchildren.

Chris' insurance career has spanned twenty-five plus years, but he has been around the business his whole life. Learning from the best in the business helped him develop an underwriter's mindset and a deep understanding that maximum profitability comes not just from having many clients, but the right clients.

Chris spent the early part of his career learning (he is a Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Risk Manager and Licensed Insurance Counselor) and working as a producer and account manager. He knows what it is like to do the work. If you ask him, he will tell you he is still an account manager.

Chris' boots-on-the-ground involvement is also why he has been able to successfully transition from being a player on the team to its coach. He knows the best way to take the agency to its next level is to develop the skills the team needs to make it happen, then get out of their way.

Chris loves the business, but he is not all business. Outside of work he is about three Fs: his faith, family, and their farm. He and his wife are busy raising four kids and a menagerie of animals (horses, chickens, ducks, you name it) on a farm in the country.

With a business card and a promise, Brian took his working experience with a number of healthcare systems in Minnesota including Mayo and started 44North twenty years ago. Today, with the help of over 100 employees, Brian's business has become the largest privately held benefit providers in the state servicing over 100,000 lives and over 400 businesses. For each of these businesses Brian sees 44North role as a critical piece in helping improve people's lives by providing clarity for much of the confusion that exists, removing many of the unnecessary medical bills that occur and providing medical pricing transparency that unfortunately healthcare is deeply lacking.

Peter has been a P&C Insurance Retail Producer for almost three decades and brings extensive experience and knowledge in a wide range of risk management and customized insurance programs to both corporate and personal clients. Peter started his career in 1997 right out of college with The G.F. Hoch Company, an independent, multi-line P&C insurance agency located in Cleveland, OH. It was there that he developed long term affiliations with many top-rated insurance professionals and insurance companies that provided him with the ability to offer financial stability, a wide variety of products, and dependable claims services that allowed him to develop an extensive and loyal client base in a variety of industries. In January of 2010, Peter and his partner Derek Hoch successfully purchased the assets of The G.F. Hoch Company, changed the name and company branding to Leverity Insurance Group, and Peter officially became the CEO. After exponentially growing the agency, it was in April 2018 that Leverity officially became an Agency Partner and shareholders of Acrisure.

In addition to his extensive insurance experience and education over the last 27+ years, Peter graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in finance. On a personal note, Peter is married to Kathryn, and they enjoy traveling, spending time with their 5 children & 2 dogs, going to concerts, and playing golf.
